In the spring of 1989, a young Diana landed at Sydney airport from Beijing, with no friends, no relatives, no connections of any kind in Australia. Just a year later she made what many considered a bold move – started an agency called Sussex News Advertising (later called Sussex Media). It was not an easy journey as she had more than her fair share of challenges. Being a petite woman with cultural and language barriers in the cut-throat media and advertising industry – she, and the team she built had to work 10 times harder, faster and better than others to survive and grow. Sussex slowly built up a reputation for credibility, and integrity and very importantly must deliver mentality. Over the next 25 years Diana brought together a team of professionals that supported her mantra of credibility and passion.
